Also known as Twospined Angelfish, Coral Beauty Pygmy Angel or Dusky Angel, the Coral Beauty Angel is a hardy saltwater angelfish that is one of the most common saltwater angelfish available in the hobby. The Coral Beauty Angelfish is know for being quick to accept prepared foods including mysis shrimp and brine shrimp saltwater fish food preparations. The Coral Beauty Angel can range from a body color of deep blue/purple color with faint black lines to a light yellow or orange with blue or purple on the rear dorsal fin and tail of the Coral Beauty Angel. Though the Coral Beauty Angel is an active fish that will be visible throughout the day, it is still important to provide plenty of hiding places for the Coral Beauty Angel. The Coral Beauty Angel requires large amounts of Live Rock for grazing. Most Saltwater Angelfish are known to nip at sessile invertebrates including Live Coral and Tridacnid Clams. The diet of the Coral Beauty should consist of algae and angelfish food preparations containing various sponges as well mysis, brine shrip, or other meaty foods. Maximum Length: 4 in.
