Also known as the Red Strip Angelfish, Orange Lined Angelfish or Eibli's Angel, The Red Stripe Angelfish is considered one of the most docile of the centropyge pygmy angels. In appearance the Red Stripe Angel is characterized by a pearlescent body color with vertical red or orange striping. The tail fin is black in coloration with a bright blue outline. The Red Stripe Angel fish is one of the hardier angels that does well in smaller saltwater aquariums.

Provide plenty of hiding places for the Red Stripe Angelfish during its acclimation to its new saltwater aquarium. The Red Stripe Angel requires large amounts of Live Rock for grazing. Most angels are known to nip at sessile invertebrates including Live Coral and Tridacnid Clams. While one of the more docile of the Saltwater Angelfish, the Red Stripe Angel can become aggressive toward other saltwater pygmy angels once it has been established in a home saltwater aquarium for some time.

The diet of the Red Stripe Angelfish should consist of algae and saltwater angelfish food preparations containing various sponges. The Red Strip Angelfish should also be offered mysis shrimp and other meaty foods.
