Commonly know has Maroon Clownfish or the Spinecheek Anemonefish. A member of the damselfish family. The Maroon Clownfish has a deep maroon body with three vertical white bars. This fish has a bold demeanor and can become quite belligerent. Will not tolerate other clownfish. Best kept one per tank unless its a mated pair. Known to be hardy. In the wild it will choose Entacmaea quadricolor as a host anemone. Clownfish do not require a host anemone, and will do just fine without, provided there is some form of shelter. The diet of the Maroon Clownfish should consist of fresh or frozen seafoods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty items.
