An active and semi-aggressive fish. Provide plenty of hiding places. Does best when kept with other large semi-aggressive tank mates. May become territorial and aggressive towards new tank mates. Does not require a sand bed.

Will eat small invertebrates such as shrimp, crabs, snails, and urchins.

Diet should consist of fresh or frozen seafood such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality flake food, and other small meaty items.
