A docile species, though best kept one per tank. This fish has venomous spines, so avoid direct handling.

Generally reef safe, but may pick at lps corals.

Provide plenty of live rock and ample hiding places. Will readily accept high quality flake food, as well as almost all meaty items.

If you have an algae problem in you aquarium a Rabbitfish might be a great addition. Rabbitfish are excellent herbivores and will eat many types of algae. They have also been known to feed on Bryopsis type algae which is a pest algae that can take over a whole tank in a short period of time.
