Live saltwater fish, coral and invertebrate orders orders are shipped Monday through Friday. During checkout , you will have the opportunity to request a specific delivery date up to one week in advance. Orders placed before 11 AM EST can ship the same day. We offer Saturday Delivery as an option. There is a $12.50 added delivery charge for Saturday orders.

--Saltwater Fish, Live Coral and Invertebrate ORDERS OVER $225 RECEIVE FREE FEDEX PRIORITY OVERNIGHT SHIPPING. All other Saltwater Fish, Live Coral and Invertebrate orders are charged a flat rate of $29.99 for FedEx Priority Overnight Shipping.

--All Saltwater Fish, Live Coral and Invertebrate orders are charged a $5.99 handling and box charge.  Hot/cold packs are included.  We check the weather at transfer points and destinations for each shipment.

--For Saltwater Fish, Live Coral and Invertebrate orders under $50.00, there is a low order fee of $19.99.  We pay more for shipping and packing materials than we charge..  The low order fee cannot be waived..

--Reef Hot Spot ships only within the lower 48 States.

--A 50% restocking fee will be charged to cancelled orders if livestock is held longer than one week.

FEDEX PRIORITY OVERNIGHT IS THE MOST RELIABLE SERVICE AVAILABLE.  PRIORITY OVERNIGHT SHIPMENTS ARRIVE BY 10:30 AM IN MOST AREAS.  CALL 1-800-GO-FEDEX TO FIND DELIVERY TIMES IN YOUR AREA.  SIGNATURE REQUESTS ARE PLACED ON ALL LIVESTOCK SHIPMENTS UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUESTED.

LIVE ROCK AND DRY GOODS SHIPPING CHARGES:

--During checkout, you will have the opportunity to choose the shipping option that is most convenient and cost effective for you.  Live rock is recommended to be shipped 2-3 day air.  ReefHotSpot does not make any money on shipping costs for customers.

--All shipments are charged a $5.99 handling and box charge.

--Live rock and dry goods normally ship in 1-2 business days.  Please disregard the requested livestock delivery date menu in the checkout section.  We cannot predict delivery dates for live rock and dry goods because of the different shipping options available.

It is common for new customers to have questions about how well saltwater fish or corals will ship. We understand that and would be happy to answer any questions you have.

Buying saltwater animals online is cheaper for the customer and better for the animals.  Saltwater fish and corals are stressed anytime they change water because the chemistry of their own bodies needs to adjust to the chemistry of the water that they will be housed in.  That is why slow acclimation of saltwater fish, especially, is so important.  Buying saltwater fish and corals online from a quality store gets the animals from the ocean to your aquarium with fewer water changes, less stress and more vitality. 

Our saltwater fish and live corals are packed after 5 PM PST and we ship FedEx Priority Overnight.  Our shipments average 14 hours en route from our tanks to yours.  We pay a premium for Priority Overnight service.  We think you new animals deserve it.

ReefHotSpot does not take saltwater fish or live coral orders from customers and pass them onto another company to fill, a common practice in this industry.  ReefHotSpot ships from our own facility where livestock can be properly cared for, evaluated and selected for shipping.
